Negative taken for October 26, 1965, Arkansas Gazette article "Carver and Fiddler Big Draw at War Eagle Fair," located B1:2. Marjorie Bowman displays her art of 'contour' glasswork to an unidentified couple at the 12th annual War Eagle Fair at War Eagle, Benton County, Arkansas on October 23, 1965. She places colorful designs on a flat piece of glass, then heats the glass to a maximum of 1,800 degrees F. The designs fuse into the glass and the glass itself takes on the shape of the clay mold on which it rests. She also used glass beads and liquid glass for her designs.
